Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. She was best known as Skyler in the AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 & 2014. Her other roles are Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell attracted to acting during the Preparatory stage before moving with her family to Ohio. She was a theatre student at Northwestern University and spent a year at the British American Drama Academy. Anna worked as a theatre actor in the Chicago region for a couple of years before trying her luck in TV as well as film roles. Anna received her breakthrough in 1992 when she played Arden for the duration of 29 episodes on Down the Shore. After appearing as a Guest on several TV shows and Films, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue in the 1990's and was later cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. The mid-2000's saw her was cast in Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler is the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully as well as Deadwood was a different film that she starred in. Gunn was also in the David Schwimmer directed film Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn appeared in a series of audio-play podcast titled Numbered Days. The relationship that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the narrative on Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and eventually its demise similar to the arc that was Walter White's final days of his life.
