Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a British-American sitarist as well as a music producer. She won the British House of Commons' Shield in the year of her youngest and first female recipient. In addition to nine Grammy nominations and nine Grammy nominations, she also became the first musician of Indian origin to perform at the award ceremony. Anoushka Shakar is a promising young emerging superstar on the Indian Sitar, is Anoushka. She is Ravi Shankar's pupil and is also his daughter. She was born in 1982 in London. The first few years of her life included a period of time in London and New Delhi. She gave her debut performance at New Delhi at the tender age of thirteen. It was followed by Live at Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album two years later. She's performed in all famous venues throughout the world. Anoushka Shakar's talents are not restricted to just music. Bapi: The Love of My Live is her 2002 memoir, that was a tribute to Ravi Shankar. The year 2003 saw her starred on Dance Like a Man as the Bharat Natyam artist. Anoushka is continuing to advance in her career and there will be many other things to be expected from this talented woman. Anoushka Shakar was born in England spent a large part of her life between London Delhi. Following her move to California she completed her high school. At the age of nine, she began her studies in music under her father. She made her debut on the sitar four years later during the celebration of his 75th birthday in Delhi. Anoushka was able to gain a variety of valuable experiences as she traveled with her father when he toured the world. The tour included appearances at Carnegie Hall and at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festival in addition to making recordings together with George Harrison. She was the youngest and sole female recipient of the House of Commons Shield awarded by the British Parliament in recognition of her artistry and musicianship as an outstanding musician from in the Asian Arts.
