Ashanti

Ashanti Shequoiya, also called Ashanti is an extremely well-known American actress and singer. She is a US singer and songwriter. Ashanti was a teenager performer, songwriter and actress American, has been signed to Murder Inc. Records to release a single in 2002. Ashanti was featured in Fat Joe's What's Luv? song that was released the following year. Also, she was featured in Fat Joe's track"What's Luv!" and the Ja Rules' track Never on Time Both of them have been hugely successful. In the case of Foolish and the track What's Luv as the top two songs and her first number one hit, she was the only woman to record two songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart top 10 of the United States. What's Luv? We can celebrate this special day with us. Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, better called Ashanti, was born on the 13th of October, 1980 in Glen Cove New York. Tina Douglas' mother was a dance instructor and Ken-Kaide Douglas, who was the parent of Ashanti Douglas was a vocalist. Kenashia Shia is her eldest sibling. Douglas was named Ashanti Douglas to Ghana after her father's Ashanti Empire. Women had immense power in the Ashanti Empire and Douglas would like Ashantis to emulate that. James, her grandfather, was a prominent civil rights leader during the 1960s, who was along with Martin Luther King Jr. The Ashanti's mother discovered her talent when she heard her sing Mary J. Blige Reminisce. Ashanti appeared as a child extra on Spike Lee's Malcolm X in 1992, and Ted Demme's Who's the Man? Ashanti also appeared in a couple of music videos, including K.R.S. - Act One's "MC's are like they don't understand" and Eight-Off Ghetto girl. After being approached by several label labels, including Bad Boy and Jive Ashanti struggled to find success in her career as a performer. Despite not getting any major breaks however, she continued to play throughout New York. Ashanti was originally featured on the track of Big Pun's We Roll as a backing vocalist. Ashanti sang on Fat Joe's song"What's Luv?" and Ja Rule's Always On Time. Ashanti sampled the track of 1983 by DeBarge Stay With Me for her first single Foolish. Ashanti released her self-titled debut album in 2002 through Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. label. The Declaration is her fourth studio-album, was released in June of 2008. Hey Baby After the Club came out on October 16 for radio and digital outlets. The actress starred in the movie Christmas in the City and was Latasha Montclair on Army Wives.
